Misa is co-founder and CEO of obvi design co, where she leads our insights and design consulting. She uses her expertise across research, strategy, and brand make great products and catalyze positive change.

CO-FOUNDER, PRODUCT

Josh is a co-founder and consults as a CTO or CPO on digital and physical-digital projects as well as leading obvi’s digital products. He is an entrepreneur and leading expert in building human-centered design and engineering teams that scale.

RESEARCHER

Maggie is a researcher on our Gen Z projects, leading research and helping coordinate our activities. A passionate cook and language learner, she is a recent graduate of UCSB.

GEN Z ADVISOR, RESEARCHER

Keya is an advisor and research intern at obvi design, contributing her expertise while also practicing design and research. She is an artist, and a writer currently studying at UT Austin.

VISUAL DESIGNER

Will brings obvi design’s work to life as a graphic designer and illustrator. A first-generation Mexican American and lifelong athlete, he brings his heritage, his love of sport, and a penchant for ALL CAPS to his design work.

PHOTOGRAPHER AND FILMMAKER

Michael is a designer, photographer and filmmaker. He specializes in helping companies and organizations design and craft powerful visual stories on their products, brands, processes, strategies and causes.

RESEARCH RECRUITER

Carleigh is a research recruiter and community organizer. She finds amazing humans, organizations, and places to inspire us. Carleigh found her passion for serving communities through her previous work in human services.

PRODUCER AND FILMMAKER

Demetrius is a multidisciplinary filmmaker, producer, and creative. He finds and tells stories, whether that’s through directing, as a producer, or lending his voice as a narrator.
